Clangers – Playtime Planet Press Release

Dublin, Ireland – July 16th, 2015 – StoryToys, a leading publisher of award-winning digital books and games for children, today announced the launch of Clangers – Playtime Planet, an interactive app based on the iconic animated television show recently relaunched on CBeebies in the UK and Sprout in the US.

The Clangers are a unique family of pink, mouse-like creatures who communicate by whistling and live on a little blue planet in space. Narrated by Michael Palin (UK) and William Shatner (US), the television series follows the Clangers’ extraordinary adventures with a cast of colourful characters. Clangers are kind and generous creatures and the series touches on themes such as the importance of community, encouraging curiosity and caring for the planet.

Clangers – Playtime Planet is an adorable activity app for pre-school children. Set in a beautiful 3D rendition of the Clangers’ world, characters such as Tiny, Small, Mother, Major and Granny Clanger come to life at your fingertips. The initial app features five activities which nurture and encourage curiosity, with more activities coming soon in a free update. Clangers fans can guide a Skymoo as it sweeps over the Clangers’ planet, help Tiny play a tune with the Eggbots, play hide and seek, explore the stars to discover hidden shapes and help Tiny and Small collect some very bouncy peas.
